Mduduzi Mdletshe
Deputy Head: Applications and IT Projects at eThekwini Municipality (Information Management Unit)
Mduduzi has been instrumental in advancing digital transformation within the eThekwini Municipality. His contributions include developing the official eThekwini Mobile App, implementing a Citizen Engagement ChatBot for electricity-related inquiries, creating Field Service Management systems, and designing multiple Business Process Mapping solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Beyond his professional work, Mduduzi actively contributes to conversations and events around digitisation, Smart Cities, and the promotion of strong business ethics and governance practices, reflecting his commitment to both innovation and integrity.
Joshua Stapleton
Artificial Intelligence Engineer and Consultant
Joshua Stapleton is an artificial intelligence engineer and consultant. He advises corporates at the executive level on AI policy and strategy, and architects bespoke AI solutions across industries. He has worked with companies locally and internationally, including Ernst & Young, Aspen, and The Foschini Group. Joshua holds a Master’s degree in machine learning and data science from Imperial College London, where he completed his thesis on neural discovery of faster matrix multiplication algorithms.

Thembisa Jimana
Treasurer General of Progressive Professionals Forum; and Executive Committee member of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa
Born in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape, Thembisa Jimana is a business leader and activist for women’s development. She has over 20 years of experience in internal audit, risk, and governance, having served on audit and finance committees across municipalities, museums, and professional councils. She currently serves on the South African Council for Social Service Professions, Old Mutual Management Committee, Luthuli Museum Council, and The Playhouse Company.
Thembisa holds an MPhil in Development Finance from Stellenbosch Business School, a Master of Commerce from UKZN, and several qualifications in auditing, governance, and business management. She is Treasurer General of the Progressive Professionals Forum, an EXCO member of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa, and Founder of multiple businesses and initiatives including Sithelo Events, Jimana Vacations and Tours, and the Jimana Foundation.
