Quresha Abdullahi
ED, IHRM
CHRP Ahmed Quresha Abdullahi is the Executive Director at the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). She is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), the highest HR certification in Kenya, a Certified Human Resource Auditor (CHRA®), and a Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner by Genos International. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Psychology.
As the strategic leader at the helm of IHRM, the professional body of HR professionals in Kenya regulating a membership of over 19,000, she is tasked with driving change, enhancing competencies, promoting innovation, advocating, and influencing policies and standards of HR practice at a national and global level.
Previously, she worked as the East Africa Regional Human Resources Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Human Resource Coordinator for the IRC Somali Program, and Acting Human Resource Director for the IRC Horn of Africa and the Yemen Region, among other roles. She has collaborated with multiple agencies and worked with government, not-for-profit organizations, the education sector, and other organizations in several countries across the globe.
With over 18 years of local, regional, and global experience in Human Resource Management, much of which has been within the development sector, Quresha has the expertise to transform the HR profession in Kenya. She has also served as the IHRM North Eastern Branch Vice Chairperson and played a critical role in the successful establishment of the branch. CHRP Quresha has made immense contributions to the IHRM fraternity through her participation in various HR activities, especially in continuous capacity building.
Quresha is passionate about people and is committed to inspiring teams to do more and have an impact in everything they do. She enjoys mentoring young people to be the best versions of themselves.
Caroline Englund

Caroline Englund is an entrepreneur with 14 years of combined experience in Change management, people strategy, and business transformation across various sectors including management consulting and talent management. She has extensive experience in bridging corporate culture and strategy, well-versed in trainings, workshops and coaching and supported different projects in several countries including Kenya, Switzerland and USA.
Dr Jane Wanyoike
Senior HR Consultant
Dr Wanyoike, a seasoned leader, consultant, business associate, certified HR practitioner, and senior lecturer, boasts unparalleled expertise across various domains. Her career spans over two decades, during which she has made significant contributions to education, leadership, and human resource management (HRM).
She has held key leadership roles, both in academia and industry. She has worked for the public and private sector in senior management and has lectured at esteemed public and private universities, including, Human Resource Management Professio9nhals Examinations Board (HRMPEB), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, The Co-operative University of Kenya, and St Paul’s University sharing her insights with the next generation of professionals.
Her qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in HRM from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), an MBA (HRM) from the University of Nairobi, Post postgraduate diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Education with Honors from Kenyatta University. Additionally, she holds certifications in Certified Human Resource Professional(CHRP), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Strategic Leadership Development, and a Fellowship in Humanitarian Leadership.
Indresh Saluja

Indresh Saluja is a seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience in scaling and transforming businesses across various industries in both emerging and developed markets. He specializes in operational excellence and business transformation, bringing a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to his roles.
As the former COO of Qwetu Student Residences, Africa’s largest student housing brand, Indresh played a pivotal role in the company’s rapid growth and market leadership. In his current position as Chief Business Transformation Officer at Acorn Holdings Limited, he spearheads innovative initiatives to enhance people capabilities, not just within Acorn but across multiple organizations.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Indresh is an active angel investor and mentor, supporting start-ups in India and Africa as they navigate their own growth journeys.
Prof Ashenafi Fanta
Head: Development Finance programmes at Stellenbosch Business School
Ashenafi Fanta is an Associate Professor and Head of Development Finance programmes at Stellenbosch Business School. With an academic career spanning over two decades, he has built extensive teaching experience at prominent higher-learning institutions in Ethiopia and South Africa. He is also actively engaged in consulting for local and international institutions, providing expert advice in the realm of financial inclusion and infrastructure finance. Prof Fanta’s research covers financial development, corporate governance of financial institutions, systemic risk, small business finance, financial inclusion, project finance and infrastructure finance.

Dr Sam Kamau
Head: Research and Innovation at the National Defence University, Kenya
Dr Sam Kamau is a dynamic Strategic Communication Specialist, strategist, and aspiring Futurist with 17 years of experience training media, communication, and security professionals. He has taught at the University of Nairobi, Aga Khan University, and currently, the National Defence University, Kenya where he heads research and innovation.
Holding a PhD in Communication and Information Studies, Sam's expertise spans Digital Media, Public Affairs, Public Diplomacy, Political Marketing, and Strategic Foresight. He is dedicated to enhancing policy debate and offering innovative solutions to African policymakers.

Alex is a versatile management, corporate strategy, strategic foresight, and communication leader with 15+ years’ experience helping organisations mould and execute their strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa. He has demonstratable experience across the entire strategic leadership spectrum; from visioning, to planning, framing, execution and evaluation. He is currently the regional lead for Stellenbosch Business School in Eastern Africa, covering the East and Horn of Africa.
