Prof André Roux
Economist and Programme Head: Futures Studies, Stellenbosch Business School
Prof André Roux is an esteemed economist and academic, currently serving as Programme Head of Futures Studies at Stellenbosch Business School. Formerly Director of the Institute for Futures Research, he holds a PhD in Economics and is the author of a leading economics textbook with over 14 editions. He has lectured across Africa and facilitated foresight and strategy workshops in multiple sectors. He also serves on the Programme Accreditation Committee of the World Futures Studies Federation.
Dr Nozizwe Mulela
Managing Director: Eswatini Development and Savings Bank (Eswatini Bank)
Dr Nozizwe Mulela is the first woman to serve as Managing Director of Eswatini Bank since its founding in 1965. She holds a BA in Law from the National University of Lesotho, an LLB from Rhodes University, an LLM and an MBA from Stellenbosch institutions, and an Honorary Doctorate from UDS in Ghana.
She began her career in law, later moving into banking where she held executive leadership roles at Standard Bank, First National Bank Eswatini, and now Eswatini Bank. Dr Mulela is also the founder of NM Leadership Network and serves on numerous boards supporting education, governance, and empowerment.
Thabisile Mlangeni
Principal Secretary: Ministry of Economic Planning and Development
Thabisile Mlangeni holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Economics and Accounting) from the University of Eswatini. She began her career in the Ministry of Finance where she gained extensive experience in national budget preparation, public debt management, and supply chain operations.
She served as Director of Supply Chain Management and later Corporate Services before being seconded to establish the National Industrial Development Corporation as CEO. Since 2021, she has been Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development, where she leads strategic economic initiatives for Eswatini.
