LEADING LETTER - SEPTEMBER 2024

Dear Alumni

It is a privilege to write to you on this lovely spring day in South Africa.

For those who may not be aware, our Stellenbosch Business School alumni activities are managed by a small permanent team, complemented by a dedicated team of volunteer alumni chapter chairs and committees passionate about networking and making a social impact. We currently have 16 chapters representing the provinces of South Africa, along with various representatives across the African continent and global destinations such as Europe, the Middle East, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. If any of our alumni share a similar passion for networking and lifelong learning, please reach out to the alumni office.

This year has been filled with multiple impactful activities, such as the Top Achievers event in May, Africa Day in London (May), the Africa Month Thought Leadership series in May, and the Winter Solstice Student-Alumni dinner series in June. In this edition, we focus on the Africa Networking Masterclass and Information Session series held in July in West Africa, Botswana, Ghana, eSwatini and Namibia. This initiative, along with various others, was presented to the Stellenbosch Business School Advisory Board, who were impressed with the vibrant Stellenbosch Business School Alumni Association's efforts to create value for alumni and enable lifelong learning.

We are eagerly anticipating the Alumni Ball planned for October, which will celebrate the Stellenbosch Business school's 60th anniversary. This event will be hosted by Dr Marlene le Roux, CEO of Artscape, and the Alumnus of the Year will be announced, joining the ranks of the alumni that we are so extremely proud of.
