Masterclass | Cultural Competence: The Intrinsic Strategic Advantage | Prof Steyn Heckroodt and panel
We warmly invite you to our Masterclass – an insightful showcase of the research within the book ‘Cultural Competence: The Intrinsic Strategic Advantage’.
Combining experience and reflection, this book addresses concepts of organisational cultural competence as an internal differentiator and source of competitive advantage. Most organisations approach differentiation as an external feature of product and/or service delivery. Whereas these are open to imitation, cultural competence, as the internal DNA of an organisation, is much more difficult, if not impossible, to imitate. The authors bring to bear their years of experience in corporate roles and as entrepreneurs and academics, sharing views and experiences based on research but also on primary examples, meta-insights, and real-world case studies.
The key messages that the authors cover:
- Defining Cultural Competence as an Intrinsic Strategic Differentiator, spreading like a drop of ink in a glass of water throughout the entire organisation.
- How to integrate Cultural Competence as an additional dimension into your existing strategic planning process.
- Understanding the imperativeness of a “Growth Mindset” amongst organisational leaders to ensure Cultural Competence can work.
- Explaining how to use the Cultural Competence Index Measurement Matrix (CCI)
- Explaining how to institutionalise Cultural Competence in your organisation.
Book now to join the book’s co-authors Prof Steyn Heckroodt and Dr Waddah S Ghanem Al Hashmi, as well as Nadia Bardawil as they outline the key take-outs from the book.
