The Centre for Corporate Governance in Africa was launched in July 2007 as one of the research centres of Stellenbosch Business School. The Centre conducts multi-disciplinary research and offers educational and development activities to improve the effectiveness of corporate governance in African organisations.

The Centre’s main focus is on developing the performance compliance aspects of directors’ attitudes, knowledge and skills; and on the link between corporate governance, business ethics and total organisational performance.
