Jörg Dietzel

Founder and CEO: Jörg Dietzel Brand Consultants Pte Ltd

Jörg Dietzel has worked with brands for over 25 years, both in Europe and Asia. He runs his own Brand Consultancy in Singapore and teaches Strategic Brand Management at the Singapore Management University’s School of Business. His 4th book, “The Next Big Asian Brands”, was published by Marshall Cavendish in 2023. He’s teaching a summer course on “Personal Branding” at Stellenbosch Business School in November 2023.

Beyers Truter

Proprietor/Founder: Beyerskloof Wines

AKA king of Pinotage, Proprietor/founder of Beyerskloof Wines established in 1988 with 1989 being the first vintage. Founder and chairman of the Pinotage Association from 1995 until current Beyers Truter will often refer to himself as the experimental & nighttime winemaker at Beyerskloof as his son Anri Truter already took over the winemaking reins in 2007.

Beyers Truter has been awarded with numerous awards. Amongst some of the most noticeable awards is the award from the IWSC international winemaker of the year award won in 1991 for the entry of his Pinotage into the dry red wine category. The IWSC (international wine & spirits competition) was established in the 1960’s & is held annually in London, the IWSC is the longest running international wine & spirits competition. Most recently Beyers Truter was awarded with the acclaimed 1659 award for visionary leadership.

Beyers started the Faith Fund in 2005 to raise awareness around the dangers of alcohol consumption during pregnancy, today the fund faith fund also support two special needs classes in the Stellenbosch area.
