Stellenbosch Business School’s Alumni Association attended various engaging events all over South Africa and Namibia in July.

July was an eventful month for the Stellenbosch Business School Alumni Association, with various engaging events all over South Africa and Namibia.

 

Visit to Namibia:

The visit underscored the importance of academic-industry partnerships, thoughtful branding, and effective media engagement in fostering meaningful connections and driving informed discussions on crucial economic and business matters.

 The signature Thought Leadership event explored the potential economic impact of the oil and gas industry on Namibia, with media presence from The Brief, a prominent media outlet in Namibia.

During the visit, Director Prof Mark Smith and the Chairperson of the Alumni Association Chapter Namibia, Mekupi Kambatuku, was also featured on a prime televised segment on NBC, RoundUp. NBC is Namibia's leading television network.

The delegation was privileged to engage with two key corporate partners (FNB and ICan) through senior alumni as primary contacts. 

 

A Director's Dinner:

A Director's Dinner was hosted at the Stellenbosch Wine Bar, bringing together key corporate stakeholders, esteemed alumni, and current students. The event provided a platform for networking and candid discussions on various topics, including industry trends, career opportunities, and collaborative initiatives.

 

Student-Alumni Dinners:

Alumni residing in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape enjoyed an evening connecting with classmates and alumni while having good conversation, indulging in fantastic food and exchanging the captivating stories of their journeys with our Business School.
